JAMES O. EILER is a Partner of the Firm and resident in the Firm's Santa Ana office. He is also Chair of the Hospitality Law Practice Group. A nationally recognized authority in Hospitality Law, Mr. Eiler represents hotels, restaurants and recreation industry businesses in all phases of general civil litigation and operational matters.

Mr. Eiler is also an Adjunct Professor of Hospitality Law for the William F. Harah School of Hotel Management at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, and publishes and speaks regularly on a wide range of issues related to Hospitality Law. As an active participant in several key trade industry associations, he helps shape regulations and legislation affecting the hotel, restaurant and hospitality industries on an ongoing basis.

Mr. Eiler's experience includes:
- Serving as national litigation counsel, managing and monitoring all litigation for a major Hotel group.
- Acting as regional litigation counsel for National Restaurant Group.
- Defending hotel and restaurant clients against a broad range of claims, including Third Party criminal assault cases, premises liability, Legionela and enviornmental and toxic claims, violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act, civil rights, employment, boating and/or personal watercrafts, and food borne illness.
- Assisting clients with drafting operational forms for front and back of the house.
- Assisting clients in drafting and implementing crisis management and claims reporting and procedure plans.
- More than 10 years of operational experience in hotel and restaurant operations.
