FIRM CLIENT PREVAILS IN TRADEMARK ACTION IN MAINLAND CHINA!
Tharpe and Howell is pleased to announce one of its clients has prevailed in a trademark action in Mainland China.
In this case, the Firm's client had been distributing consumer products in China for almost ten years. A dispute arose between the Firm's client and a Chinese company over the rights to use a highly valuable trademark which was registered with the China Trademark Office. Partner Robert Freedman of Tharpe and Howell, in conjunction with its correspondent law firm in Bejing, filed a Complaint with the China Trademark Review and Adjudication Board. The Board found for the Firm's client, and no appeal was filed, thus confirming the client's ownership rights to the disputed trademark!
Please contact Mr. Freedman should you have any questions or for advice on protecting and enforcing trademark rights in the US or China.
